The 2019 Honda Ridgeline is an unique option for a midsize pickup. Rather than going with the crowd and going with a conventional body-on-frame design, Honda utilizes a more carlike unibody building and construction and a totally independent suspension for the Ridgeline. These style options provide this truck class-leading flight comfort and excellent handling. The 2019 Honda Ridgeline is the pickup truck outlier that, while constructed on a crossover platform, does all the “truck things” all right for many people but retains a smooth ride and comfortable interior.
2019 Honda Ridgeline Styling
The 2019 Ridgeline brings the fundamental shape of a pickup truck with some Honda quirks included. More structured than a standard truck, the Ridgeline shares several design points with its SUV cousin, the Honda Pilot. We’ve rated the 2019 Honda Ridgeline a 7 for its appealing interior and smooth exterior lines.
With the shift from first- to second-generation, Honda moved away from the buttressed-to-bed connection, deciding instead for what looks like an even more traditional pickup shape than the Ridgeline models of years past. Front styling is accentuated by LED running lights, chrome grille strips, and fog lights tucked into the lower bumper. Black Edition models eschew chrome in favor of a blacked-out grille and Honda logo design.
Looking quite like a Pilot in advance, the similarities don’t end there. Interior decoration, including the dash and seating are extremely Pilot-like, which’s not a bad thing. The Ridgeline has handled a big storage location between the front seats like the Pilot, and the extra area is practical. Honda’s transfer to a more refined try to find both models brought with it a more comfy interior with soft-touch materials, wide instrument panels with easy to check out assesses, and an equipment lever for the Ridgeline in location of the Pilot’s push buttons.
